Dog licenses can come loose and get lost, if your dog is as active as ours, as evidenced by the few I have come across at our favorite dog park. Make copies of your dog's license and the paperwork that came with it. I put copies of it into both of our vehicles (you never know which one you're going to use on a particular day), which will come in handy if local enforcement is checking on current tags. It will also make it easier to ask for a duplicate!
