Moen stands back of their products and they will replace it free of charge. Call them and give them the Model Number. I have had parts replaced to my Moen Faucet and there never has been any charge.

Yes! Call Moen and tell them about it. My sister-in-law did this (She was very nice on the phone) and they sent her a replacement at no charge. It is worth a phone call. Good luck
What kind of finish is on the faucet; brushed nickel, "chrome" etc? If you can get back to me, I can ask my husband a plumber.
