Freeze Or Dehydrate Nectarines And Peaches

For many years, I have frozen peaches. I dropped them gently into boiling water for a a few minutes, then immediately into ice cold water. This way it is extremely easy to remove the skin.

Then I slice the fruit, place on a cookie sheet, and put into the freezer; then bag. This way each piece freezes individually and when you want to use the fruit take out whatever amount you want, not a lump of frozen fruit.

Always measure the amount you are putting into bags, as this is a huge help when deciding on using the fruit. Myself, I now prefer to dehydrate the sliced fruit. It takes up much less space.
