Recycled Gift Cups
Recycled Gift Cups
Recycle plastic containers into holiday gift cups!

Approximate Time: 30 to 45 minutes

Supplies:

  • 8 oz plastic container
  • stick on foam snowflakes
  • rubber paint brush
  • pencil
  • sheet of paper
  • scrap cardboard
  • wide holiday ribbon
  • school glue
  • paper plate
  • scissors
  • pencil
  • scraps of Christmas paper

Instructions:

GiftCups2_150x112.jpgCut ribbon into 10 1/2 inch strips, or to fit around the container. After washing and drying the container, squeeze glue onto paper plate, use paint brush to coat side of container all the way around and place ribbon around it, hold for a few seconds. Put aside to dry.

GiftCups3_150x107.jpgTake lid, put sheet of paper on top and trace inner circle, trace this onto cardboard and you have a pattern to cut out circles from Christmas paper, do this while your cups are drying. Use brush to apply glue to inside circle on top and put your cut Christmas circle on it.

When cups are dry, you can use the foam stick on snowflakes to decorate!

Fill with treats and give with a smile!

Wow I love this idea! Thank you so much for posting! I just bought Holiday containers at the dollar store but I need more. Instead of buying them I will make these :) I might even do this for birthdays and valentines day too using different decorations.
