I have a sliding pocket door that leads to a bathroom. The small hook in the door that is supposed to lock the door has become bent, and is now not usable. I have tried using a hook and eye as a lock. However, the eye became bent when the door was pushed too far, and the metal slid into and damaged the door frame. Does anyone have ideas for locking this type of door?

you can screw on a small piece of wood to the door frame part, put the screw into the center of the piece of wood leave it loose so the wood will rotate around when the door is open and being used leave the wood in the vertical position, when the door is shut turn the wood to the horizontal position so that it keeps the door closed. this method was used on old barn doors or out houses to keep door closed when not in use. hope it helped.
