Free Photo Organizer From Google

"Picasa is software that helps you instantly find, edit and share all the pictures on your PC. Every time you open Picasa, it automatically locates all your pictures (even ones you forgot you had) and sorts them into visual albums organized by date with folder names you will recognize. You can drag and drop to arrange your albums and make labels to create new groups. Picasa makes sure your pictures are always organized."

Tea With Me - Toy Travel Tea Set
By Cindy Bailey

Tea with Me Set This tiny tea set-to-go should delight the little traveler on the plane or in the car. Similar ready made sets sell for as much as $16, but we picked up the tea set and dolls at the dollar store.

Buddy - Poogle (Poodle-Beagle Mix) Buddy is a 14 month old Poogle (Poodle/Beagle.) We got buddy from our neighbor 5 months ago, she was no longer able to take care of him.

Homemade Chicken Or Beef Pot Pie For Two

This recipe comes from my daughter Trisha Currin. She is married with a brand new baby. This is how she saves money when she breaks down and buys one of those fast and easy already cooked chickens.

First, she and her husband make one dinner out of the chicken then she de-bones the rest, adds some mixed vegetables that she always buys in the huge bag at Sam's Club. She then microwaves this for a couple of seconds, just enough to get it warm. Then she freezes it. She buys pie crust in bulk when she finds it on sale. When she needs a fast recipe for dinner, she defrosts her chicken and vegetables and adds one can of cream of chicken soup and puts it her piecrust and bakes according to the instructions on the pie crust. Fast and easy, and she gets two meals out of one chicken. She also does this with beef but adds the gravy to the meat and vegetables and then freezes. I hope this gives someone an easy quick meal this holiday season.

Using Your Dishwasher To Clean Dishwashing Items

When putting your dishwasher on, put your kitchen brushes into the cutlery basket with the bristles up and they will come out nicely cleaned and sterilised. I also put my dishcloth on the top rack, but safely, so that it won't drop down or stop any of the other items being properly washed.

Household Tool Box

My Tool Box

Have your own tool box for in the house. When ever I needed a tool I had to go out to the garage and get one of my husbands. If I forgot to put it back, I heard about it. So, I went and bought myself an inexpensive tool box. Then every so often I would buy some basic tools to put in it. I keep the tool box in the house in the pantry. Now, hubby knows better then to touch "MY" tools.

Mark "Your" Tools

I've heard that marking "your" tools somehow with something pink will help keep them separate from your husband's tools!

Fishing Tackle Box

A small fishing tackle box does an excellent job of serving as a small in-house toolbox. I've had one for many years and love it. My husband knows that any tools in that box are strictly hands-off for him, unless I loan them to him.

Small Handy Tool Box

Put together a small tool box for making minor repairs around the house. Fill it with the essentials: hammer, screw drivers, a chisel, pliers, scissors, a small level, a tape measure and anything else you find yourself needing frequently. Keep it in a safe convenient place and make sure all the tools and the tool box is put away when it's done being used.

Send Hot Chocolate With Christmas Cards

A cute idea for presents on a budget for friends is to tuck a little sachet of hot chocolate into their Christmas cards. If they're not hot chocolate people, you could try specialty coffee or tea.

The Sun and Antique Furniture

Sunlight makes dark wood lighter and light wood darker. Prevent uneven discoloration of antique furniture by keeping it away from windows that receive direct sunlight. Once a piece of furniture has changed color, you may need to completely refinish the piece to restore it.

Use A Shower Cap When Coloring Hair

I use a thin shower cap - like the kind you get free in motels/hotels to cover my hair when I apply colored shampoo to tint it. (Got that from a hairdresser who did that and put me under the dryer.) I just sit in a hot bath tub for 10-15 minutes. Seems to work.

Happy New Year

I would like to say Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to everyone. I have said many times this site is like a family. I read the newsletters everyday. I know some of the people whose recipes I like best. I tell everyone about this site. Thank you, Susan, for doing such a great job. I don't have any pictures to send but my dog Ally benefits from some of the suggestions about spills and different pet care questions. God Bless us everyone.

I buy Yankee and Colonial candles all the time. Do you have any ideas on how I can use the empty jars when the candle burns down? And what should I clean them out with? The Yankee candle jars are round and the Colonial jars are oval. They cost so much money I just hate to throw them away.

Home Improvement Price Comparisons

I want to put up a new fence around my yard this year, either a privacy or chain-link. I also plan to repaint the exterior of my home and replace the front porch and back porch. My question is: Does anyone know any websites that compare prices on these kind of items? I want to make a well informed decision but don't have time to go from store to store comparing prices myself. My husband and I will be doing the work to save money and want to get the best deal. Thanks in advance.

Buying Plastic TV Dinner Dishes

A couple years ago I purchased some hard plastic divider dishes with lids (from K-Mart) that I used for storing prepared meal (TV Dinners). However, Kmart no longer carries them in Michigan and I cannot find any at the local stores or online. The only ones that I have been able to find are the soft plastic, like the ones gladware makes, but they are not durable. Does anyone know where they can be purchased either locally or online. If the local store is not in Michigan please indicate an address or phone number where I can reach the store.

Thanks,

My Cat Is Always Hungry

I have a cat problem, My cat is ALWAYS HUNGRY.... He was born a stray, and "adopted" until he was about 8 months and started spraying by the people who lived in the same apartments as my daughter. They kicked him out of the house and refused to neuter him even though my daughter and I offered to drive him to the vet for them. His owners moved away and he lived in the apartment parking lot for about 4 months, my daughter feeding him when he came to her door.

After his owners moved and left him, my daughter had him neutered, wormed and put advantage on him for fleas and made sure he would use the litter box so I would take him home and adopt him. Well, she talked me into it... and I brought him home and totally fell in love with him. We think he's going to be 2 years old next spring.

He was so skinny when I first got him, and I'd never had a pet before so I gave him probably twice the food he needed. When he hurt his paw, I took him to the vet and the vet said he is very healthy but he needs to lose weight and to cut down his food intake by 20%.

Since I've cut his food intake, all he does is beg CONSTANTLY! He now gets into the garbage (to lick my old lasagna TV dinners) and we've had to lock up his dry food or he climbs to the very top of the shelf and gets in it. He is ALWAYS HUNGRY!

I feed him a high quality dry food in the morning and a low fat, high protein wet food before bedtime. But no sooner do I feed him, but he starts begging... (Meow, Meow, Meow) He even wakes me up at night for food... Which I refuse to give him because the Vet said he could get diabetes or other health problems.

Is he hungry all the time because he remembers living in the parking lot, or are some cats, just hungry ALL the time?
