I'm not sure what a Rattan Rug is, :) but have you used Oxy clean? It works great. There is also a brand of oxy clean that is made for pet stains, but I find the regular Oxy clean that is also used for clothes works better. Found in the cleaning supplies in most stores. p/s do a test on the rug before applying to the stain, just for color fast.
