This recipe was in our newspaper quite some time ago. If you liked Elby's strawberry pie, this is the recipe they printed and, yes, it is good! I have to admit I miss Elby's!
Ingredients
- 2 cups water
- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 small pkg strawberry Jello
- 1 quart strawberries
- 1-9 inch pie shell
Directions
Combine water, sugar and cornstarch. Cook over low heat until thick and clear. Remove from heat and add strawberry Jello. Chill until thick. Then layer in baked pie shell with berries. Serve with Whipped Cream. Enjoy!
