My mom runs an active senior program and needs fun, maybe even wacky, ideas for July 4. Such as a games, crafts, contests, etc. Any ideas would be helpful.

1. "Movie Star Bingo"?
Search the internet for clues about and photos of stars from the 30s, 40s, and 50s, then do the photos small on a bingo grid. Call out the clues and each person has to place a chip on the correct photo based on the clues given.
2. Kids board games that don't require a lot of thought and don't take a lot of time to complete a full game, like Chutes and Ladders, Trouble, and Candyland. The winner of each game can be given small prizes from the dollar store, gift certificates, etc.
3. The old favorite, hula hoop contests.
4. Some kind of "silly hat" craft, using felt, glue, yarn, other odds and ends from craft grab bags...
