Save your back by raising your dishpan. Depending on the depth of your sink, place something under your dishpan to raise it high enough that you can stand up straight while doing the dishes. A plastic milk crate works well in a deep sink. An upside down 9x13 inch pan is great for a kitchen sink.

Very good idea, my mother in law use to do that. Good luck.

Several months ago, I had to do this myself. I could not bend over so I inverted one large pan using the bottom as a support and placed another large pan on top of that to use as a dishpan. Worked teriffically, and I've not gone back to the old way of doing it. Sinks are too low and not everything can be done in the dishwasher.
