Ranch Crackers

Very easy to make, and it makes a lot. Everyone seems to enjoy.

Ingredients:

  • #3 bags of oyster crackers
  • 1 package of Ranch Dressing Mix (dry)
  • 1 cup of Wesson oil (or oil of choice)

Directions:

Mix dry dressing mix with oil. Place crackers in large container with lid or zip lock bag. Pour oil and dressing mix over crackers. Mix well until crackers are coated.

Allow crackers to sit for 1 hour. Eat.

Servings: 20+

We use saltine crackers and to kick it up a notch, can add 1 Tbsp. crushed red peppers.

Recipe: Homemade Ranch Flavored Crackers

Know how expensive those specialty crackers are? Just thoroughly mix one package of Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing powder with 1/2 cup olive oil. Place all four tubes of saltines in a giant storage bag. Pour the oil mixture over the crackers. Close bag and turn gently over and over to coat the crackers. Lay on waxed paper for at least two hours to dry. Store in sealed container. Voila! Ranch flavored crackers at a fraction of the cost.

RE: Homemade Ranch Flavored Crackers

This recipe works extremely well with the little round "Oyster Crackers" I also add a little dill weed to the mix. (01/16/2005)
