  • You can slice cucumber and put on your eyes for half an hour everyday for 15 days to lighten dark circles.
  • You can massage under eye area with sweet almond oil before going to bed to lighten dark circles.
  • You can wrap a grated raw potato in cheesecloth and apply to the affected area for 15-20 minutes. Wipe off the residue and apply an eye cream.
  • To get rid of undereye puffiness you can rub some ice cube for 4-5 minutes.
  • Directly apply lemon and/or lemon juice on the black bags under your eyes several times throughout the course of the day.
  • Tea Bags - Dark Circle and puffy eye home remedy: Boil some water as if you were making a normal tea beverage, and insert a tea bag as usual. Gently squeeze out the brewed teabag after about 5 to 8 minutes for best results, and allow it to cool. Apply over the eyes and relax with the cool and slightly damp bags in place over the most attention needing zone. Allow to sit for 10 to 15 minutes, while relaxing. Take the teabags off and see an improvement in your dark circles or puffy eyes.

I read somewhere recently that the only way to get rid of dark circles under the eyes is to have a good supply of Vitamin K in the diet. I'm not quite sure of the science, but it has something to do with Vitamin K's role in blood coagulation. Good sources are cabbage, cauliflower, spinach and other green leafy vegetables, cereals and other vegetables.

Like "kaye" said, keeping spoons in the freezer and placing them on your eyes really helps. Simple and cheap.

Hm-m-m-mmm, I'd rather eliminate what CAUSES the puffiness/dark circles, which is usually watching TV in the dark/looking at the computer screen too long/crying just before you go to bed/ not washing face/eyes with Baby shampoo/water before
sleeping/ not having quality rest. If I placed even dry tea bags on my eyes, as fair as is my skin, I'd have dark circles. lol God bless you. : )

I use Essence of Time Night Skin Conditioning Cream. A two pack at 2 ozs. each, total of 4 ozs.
Available from www.hsn.com

or 1-800-521-1514 Seasential Products
($22.50 + $5.95 shipping to my house in USA from NJ).

A little goes a long way, lasts a long time, and is great for other uses.
1) rub some on bug bites
2) use as a face and chest cream at night
3) rub it gently into the under eye area at night

Or, use an Avon product that works well: Anew Clinical Eye Lift.

Both of these products help with my allergy dark circles and lack of sleep dark circles.

Go to your local health store and ask them for a Blood Cleanser. There are several herbal concoctions which are used for this and this will guarantee disappearance of dark circles.

Course, none of this will work if it's genetics, and also allergies cause them so meds might have to be an option.

You could also keep 2 spoons in the ice box to put on your eyes first thing in the morning. It really helps puffyness and its easy to do while your are making breakfast.
