Honey-Crunch Nut Bars
- 1/3 cup margarine
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cans chow mein noodles (5 oz. each)
- 1 can mixed nuts (1 1/4 cups)
Grease 9 inch square pan. Put margarine, honey, brown sugar, and cinnamon into 3 qt. pan, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then boil 1 minute. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla. Add noodles and gently stir (fold) until coated. Add nuts. Scrape mixture into prepared pan; cover with wax paper and press into even layer. Remove paper. Let stand at least 1 hour before cutting into bars with large, heavy knife.

These sound yummy. I imagine that you could probably add cereal to these in addition to, or instead of, the chow mein noodles.
