Gatto is a four year old American Shorthair (Tabby) aka regular cat. He was adopted from a local shelter November 2009. He was a skinny guy with an unattractive skin condition who'd been in his tight little cage for three months. He didn't make any noise or meow for attention like the others. And, due to the fast approaching 'kitten season' he would have been scheduled to die soon. So, we saved him and his is now a healthy weight with a glossy coat. He has also found his voice and likes to hear himself talk - a lot!
Gatto (Italian for 'cat') loves to chase Moggie (Australian/English for 'cat' and also rescued at the same time). He also likes to roll around with his many catnip toys and rub, rub, rub against anyone who might be standing near him or sitting still. I caught this photo of Gatto in the sun quite by accident. It was early on a perfect sunny Sunday morning and he lazily walked into the frame as I was taking photos of his and our new home.
