|
We had a bad fire with a lot of smoke and can't get the smell out of our vinyl windows. Does anyone have any advice?

Hi,
Try the smoke odour neutraliser here - http://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/Smoke_Odour_Neutraliser.htm

The vinyl may have absorbed the odors? If this is the case, go back to your homeowner's insurance and request replacement because of the smell. Insurance co. may say no at first, but keep on them. Refuse to accept no. Document all conversation and keep copies of correspondence. The patience of Job may be required here.
It's hard to believe, but insurance companies do not always make all our options clear...unless we insist.
