Headlight Is Fogged Up

How do you tell the difference between UV damage and oxidation on a plastic headlight? Which can be removed, yellow from UV damage or yellow from oxidation?

A very easy to tell. If you have moisture in the lights it will go away after awhile. If the plastic is turn yellow a simple fix is to get some rubbing compound and with a water mix make a paste of the compound and rub the head light plastic just like you are waxing the car, and then wash off. The plastic will be clear, you may have to do this two times but it works well, I have done this for a lot of my customers who wanted to replace the head lights because of the yellow color when all I had to do is clean it. Hope this helps and God bless you.

You can purchase headlight cleanser at any good Auto Parts store.
