I'm thinking a website is kind of a product, so I wanted to let people who want to save money about my experience with half.com. This is a site where you can purchase books, CD's, and DVD's for (usually) below half of what your would pay elsewhere. They have so many new items that I have been able to purchase many inexpensive gifts for friends and family without leaving the house. You can find deals on virtually any subject. It hurts nothing to at least look. You could save yourself both time and money.
Be careful what you buy. I bought a cd.rom game from this site It was a Christmas gift for my son. Well it turns out that when he put the c.d. code in for this someone, actually several other people (in Canada) had been using it. Seller claimed it was new and sealed in cellophane. It was in cellophane but the bottom was opened and you could easily side a c.d in there. This c.d was used and sold a couple of times in Canada. That what the game company told us when we called when the code would not work. Seller would not take responsibility of for this. He said in Canada thats legal to sell the c.d rom code..For a couple of dollars more I could of purchase it new. My bad... Never again. We were out 25.99 plus shipping. P.S. Half.com would not help us nor back us on this.
Half.com is great! I hate to pay full price for DVD's, and I have gotten so many from the site for a wonderful price. The dealers send them quickly and the shipping is not bad. It is worth the time for you to look at what they have to offer.
half.com is great; but an even less expensive way to go for books (paperback, hardback, and audio) and CD's is PaperBackSwap.com; and for DVD's, check out SwapSimple.com. I've checked into a lot of the swap sites, and these 2 are the best. I belong to both of them and have saved so much money and found a lot of books, etc. that I haven't been able to find anywhere else!
I use Half.com ALL THE TIME! It's great! You can also open an account for free and post your used books, CD's, DVD's to sell also. I'm a book-a-holic but have found that I have so many I don't really want to keep and I'd rather sell them than throw them away!
