Silver Post Medal for All Time! 288 Posts

Ingredients:

  • 1-1/2 lbs. of ground turkey or beef (or a mixture of both )
  • 10 oz. baby spinach leaves
  • zest of one lemon
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. freshly ground pepper

Directions:

Saute the spinach in olive oil until it wilts.

In a large bowl, mix the turkey/beef, spinach, lemon zest, garlic, salt and pepper.

You can make healthier quarter pounders using a half-cup measuring cup to get an equal amount per burger and flattening them on waxed paper.

Grill the burgers until done.

Serve them on whole grain buns

Sounds good. Normally I find turkey burgers or meatloaf dry and boring.
Thanks for sharing.

Oh, the lemon and garlic and then wilted spinach combination sounds wonderful, GGVi! I have some ground chicken in the freezer I need to use up so guess what I'll be making this week?

;-) I also have some flour tortillas that need to be used so instead of making patties; will crumble cook the chicken and make wrap sammies. Thanks for sharing this - perfect timing! :-)
