Lady is 4 years old and a American Cocker Spaniel. Her nickname is LadyBaby.
I have a friend that knew these people that lived next door that had Lady. Lady wasn't being taken care very well at all. When I got Lady, her fur was all matted up. She had motor oil and screws in her fur. It was an awful sight. I have always loved these kinds of dogs, so I brought her home and she's fit into our family ever since.
She loves to play ball, goes for walks, or just get a good doggie rub. Lady is a wonderful dog, always willing to please.
She is so sweet. She has love coming out all over. Just thank heaven that they were mean to her and did not want her. You both won on that deal, Lady and yourself. You must feel good that you rescued her. I found myself in a position to have 7 kittens to give away this summer. Each time one goes I worry how good of care they will receive. But I knew I couldn't keep them. God bless caring animal lovers!
You are so sweet to take on this dog! You know, a lot of people will say, "Oh it's just a dog, not like a baby or something" and I always say, "yeah, you're right. However, a baby can grow up and eventually take care of themself. A dog NEVER can. THey are always dependent on you!" That usually shuts them up.
