Cranberry Apple Crisp

This is easy to make and a perfect fall recipe.

Ingredients:

Filling
  • 6-7 medium Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
  • 1 can (16 oz.) whole berry cranberry sauce
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
Topping:
  • 1/4 cup nuts, chopped
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • Cool Whip

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

For filling, cut apple slices in half crosswise, place in a 9x13 inch pan. In a medium bowl, combine cranberry sauce, sugar, and flour; mix well. Pour cranberry mixture over apples in pan, toss to coat.

For topping, combine chopped nuts, oats, brown sugar, flour, and cinnamon in a 1 quart bowl. Melt butter. Add to ingredients in bowl; mix well. Sprinkle topping over fruit mixture.

Bake 35- 40 minutes or until fruit is tender. Serve warm with Cool Whip.

Recipe: Cranberry/Apple Crisp

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 3 cups diced tart apples
  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup soft butter/margarine
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

Directions:

Mix the apples, cranberries and sugar and put in the bottom of a 9x13 inch greased pan. Mix the butter and sugar. Add the oats and pecans. Mix and spread on top of fruit mixture.

Bake at 325 degrees F for 1 hour.
