Quick Super Bowl Chili

With the Super Bowl on Sunday, here's a good recipe for those hungry football fans.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds lean ground beef
  • 1 large chopped onion
  • 4 Tbsps. chili powder
  • 1-1/2 tsp. ground cumin
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1-1/2 tsp. salt, or to taste
  • 1 tsp. garlic granules
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 (14.5 oz.) can diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 (10 oz.) can Ro-tel tomatoes (original or spicy), undrained
  • 1 cup Pace Picante chunky salsa
  • 1 (16 oz.) can Pinto beans, undrained
  • Fresh ground pepper to your taste

Directions

In a large skillet brown meat and onions together until meat is no longer pink; drain excess fat. Add chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt and garlic granules. Stir to mix well, then add water; cook about 2 minutes and then add remaining ingredients. Bring to a boil, then lower heat to simmer about 20 minutes. For the party, keep warm in the crock-pot and allow guests to serve themselves to you can watch the game.

CONDIMENTS: tortilla chips, Fritos corn chips, shredded cheese, black olives, jalapeno peppers, sour cream, fresh cilantro, crackers and chopped onion.
