Mix sugar, molasses, and eggs. Stir in soda, salt, flour and milk. Grease whole inside of eight vegetable cans. Fill about 2/3 full. Cover with foil. Place in pressure canner and add boiling water until about halfway up on cans. Cover cooker but don't lock. When steaming good reduce heat so as just to keep boiling. Steam 3 hours. (Whole wheat flour may be more moist. Can be baked for 1/2 time, but better if steamed.)
