RE: Controlling Underarm Wetness
You guy's just use certain dri. You put it on before you go to bed and when you wake up you don't sweat anymore! some people have said that some itching and burning has occurred but that hasn't happened to me. It might not work right away, but get it and give it a try. Read the directions provided in the box CAREFULLY ( I got the SOLID version).

RE: Controlling Underarm Wetness
You should try to wear 2 shirts. On the first one put duck tape on it and cover the area that you think its going to be wet. Then put a shirt over it and you will be fie all day. When you get home take it off. You will sweat but you wont see it. When you do sweat it gives off a little smell but not a lot.

RE: Controlling Underarm Wetness
i have the same problem as you. i suffered having to wear only dark clothes so that the wet marks would not embarrass me for 25 years of my life. last year, i discovered that i have what is called "hyperhidrosis" and it is treatable with aluminum chloride. it's usually in the form of a roll on product. it's kinda expensive, but it's the only thing that worked on me. why don't you check out your local pharmacy for some?

RE: Controlling Underarm Wetness
I have the same problem, so you are not alone. It really does suck to live with something like this. I'm 15 and I know how it feels to not be able to wear tight shirts and cute tops because of underarm wetness. I really brings my self confidence down....really, really low. I told my mom to make an appointment at the dermatologist so i can get the Botox shots, but I don't know how they are.
My sister had the same problem and she got t a few weeks ago and she seems fine. I just hope all works out well!

I'm 15 and since i was 12 or 13 I've had this problem. No antiperspirants ever worked for me except the aluminum free adidas stuff which is amazing but not sold ANYWHERE anymore, at least around me. I try not to worry and I sweat a little less but its weird because I sweat even when I'm cold. I just hope I grow out of it. I know other girls that have.

I've been suffering from excess sweating ever since I was twelve. It sucks, I'm a dancer and I have to wear a jumper whilst everyone else is in leotards. I always thought that I was so strange and wondered if there was something wrong with me. I want to wear so many nice clothes but I sweat so much. ;( Please help, I can honestly say this is the biggest problem in my life.

RE: Controlling Underarm Wetness
To stop under arms from sweating.... After you shower, use one of those antiperspirant Crystal's... They are made from potassium salts & they work like a charm! ... Stay away from regular "antiperspirants" (they're made with aluminum!) ... After a while, your sweat glands will "backfire" from the aluminum & you'll sweat MORE!.... When I switched from an antiperspirant to plain deodorant & the crystal... My excess sweating stopped! ... In between showering & if it's a really hot summer day & I start to sweat a lot, I simply splash a capful of rubbing alcohol on my pits. This stops the smell because the alcohol kills the germs that cause odor... It's best to apply the crystal right after you shower when you are slightly damp, After applying the crystal use TOMS brand natural deodorant (you can buy it at any health food store) because TOMS has some great herbs that work wonderfully to stop odor!
You can buy these Crystal deodorant stones at most health food stores.

Help I go back to school in 2 days so I need some advice fast. I'm 15 and when ever I just step into the school building I start to sweat. It doesn't stink, just a huge wet patch. I try to wear hoodies or jackets, but I really don't like the whole baggy look and I'm a girl who really likes clothes. It's hard when you have a limited wardrobe b/c of sweat problems. What should I do if I don't want any over the counter medications and no botox? Are there any antiperspirants or deodorants that could help without aluminum?

I solved my underarm sweating problems when my friend told me how Botox injections can treat severe sweating problems. I found out that Botox is FDA-approved for the treatment of excessive underarm perspiration. Discover for yourself how one Botox treatment can reduce underarm sweat at their website BotoxSevereSweating dot com. It definitely helped me. Now I have my self-confidence back and I'll never have to deal with sweaty armpits and a limited wardrobe again.

Definitely try Maxim - I have been using it for a while because I had the same problems - sweating through 2 or more shirts, constant underarm sweat (even if it's freezing out), having to wear dark colors all the time - since I was in High School. I'm 26 now and I have to say if you use Maxim the way they say on the box, it WORKS! I have to stop and check every once in a while to make sure that my pits are still dry, and I am AMAZED that even in situations where I normally would have sweat buckets my armpits are BONE DRY. I use a little of my own deodorant over it in the morning, and I am good all day.

My son had this problem. He used to wear 2 T shirts for gym all the time. We finally found a product called Dysol at the drug store that worked well. It was strong stuff, and had to be used according to the directions, but after using it, he was able to use regular anti-prespirants. Mitchem was his brand of choice. Talk to your druggist about this product.

Maxim. I haven't tried it yet... but you should look into it, it sounds awesome. It's like a deoderant that you put on before you go to sleep and it soaks into your pores and stops the sweating.... I really need it. Use Google and search underarm wetness and Maxim should be the first thing that you find.

I have used Arrid Extra Dry for the last 30 years or so. (I'm 52, male.) My favorite these days is antiperspirant deodorant clear gel but I have never tried the invisible solid. I have been keeping my armpit hair trimmed down to nearly nothing since I was in my twenties and realized one day that my 24-hour deodrant was not lasting 24 hours! I learned this tip from a TV weatherman and it really works. Too much hair under there makes it impossible to stay dry because the hair retains moisture.

There is actually a product called Maxim antiperspirant on-line that you can buy for Hyperhidrosis. It is aluminum based, which some people may steer clear of, but I started using it to minimize sweating since I am getting married soon. It works well if you use according to package. It's sort of weird to feel hot and sweaty and have a dry armpit!!

RE: Controlling Underarm Wetness
I find that I build up a tolerance to an anti-perspirant formulation after one or two bottles, so I alternate the brand I use. I also make sure I put on two coats: one right after the shower and one after breakfast.

RE: Controlling Underarm Wetness
Try an antiperspirant called Certain-Dri. It is pricey at about $6.00 a bottle, but it may save you money in the long run, since you may only need to use it a couple of times a week after your skin adjusts to the ingredients. It is strong stuff, and you have to follow the application directions exactly to get good results, but it really works well and virtually eliminates underarm wetness for me.

Go to a beauty supply store and get a deoderant stone. I think it's quartz. They are clear and kind of lumpy. You use the stone after your shower, but before you dry yourself off. They are WONDERFUL ! They also last forever. No chemicals there !

RE: Controlling Underarm Wetness
Hi - greetings from australia. I have always perspired alot from my armpits. Recently I started using a non-aluminium anti-perspirant deoderant, and found that I was very damp in my armpits all of the time. Solution corn-flour (cornstarch) from the grocers with a few teaspoons of bi-carb soda well blended in to it. You can mix in some of your favorite perfume if you like, as well. I put it in a powder puff container and puff it under my arms after my deoderant has dried. No wet, no smell, very natural, very happy!!

RE: Controlling Underarm Wetness
What about baby powder with corn starch? People use that to control wetness in other places all the time, so I don't see why it wouldn't work in this case. On the other hand, if you want to go the ultra cheap way, why not just use corn starch? Hope this helps! It was just a thought!
