Masan (German Shepherd?) The Protector
I adopted MASAN when he was only 4 months old. He had been awaiting a loving home at the local shelter. He was nothing but excitement from day one and is still the best friend I could ever hope for. This is him keeping a look out during hurricane Charley.

Today's Tips
Refilling Spice Jars
Save a bundle the next time you buy spices. Instead of reaching for the Spice Islands or any other brands that put spices in a jar, shop at stores that sell spices in bulk. Some Kroger stores feature bulk spices; so do Food for Less stores. Savings? How about 400% less than the prepackaged spices. And it's great fun to look at and sniff the many spices. Just don't sneeze! Happy Savings!

Pigs In The Blanket - Tips and Recipes
Tips and recipes for making Pigs in Blanket. Post your ideas.
Making Pigs in the Blanket
Instead of boiling the cabbage in hot water, and peeling the leaves off one by one, place entire cabbage into the freezer for several days. When ready to make cabbage rolls, place entire head of cabbage in hot water in your sink. The cabbage will come out soft and peel easily, saving you time from boiling.

Instead of Cat Litter
Instead of buying cat litter I use newspaper, well actually I get those free sale papers and local magazines that don't cost a penny.
By llcool
Editor's Note: If I let my cats get away with peeing on paper, they probably would start peeing on everything paper. That and the odor would be my reservations.

Saving Money on Long Distance Phone Fees
Tips for saving money on calling long distance. Post your ideas!
If you make a lot of long distance phone calls. Shop around for phone cards. I found one (at Sam's Club) for 2.9 cents per minute. That is a real bargain, the 2.9 that includes tax, FCC line charges, universal fee. Those fees can add up to $10.00+ per month.

Shade Cloth With Pictures
Does anyone know where I can find shade cloth or fabric with pictures silkscreened on it? I saw it on one of those home improvement shows and they used it outside in someone's yard; they stood some redwood lattice upright and stretched the shade cloth across the lattice so that it blocked the view of the neighbor's yard but yet let air and light through. I've been able to find the cloth itself online but can't find it with pictures on it like what I saw on the show.

Making Removable Gold Hair Coloring
My daughter has to do a project for her cosmetology class where she has to design a futuristic hairdo. She wants to use food colouring (has to be able to be washed out) to make the school colours. The colours are green and gold.
I know how to go about making green or for that matter I know I can buy green food colouring but I haven't a clue if you can buy gold or if she has to combine other colours to make it. Yellow will not work according to her, it has to be GOLD.
Any ideas and suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
