Tangy Potato Salad

Ingredients

  • 5 lbs. red potatoes (boiled)
  • 12 eggs (boiled)
  • 1 cup celery (chopped)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. yellow mustard
  • 1 1/2 cup Miracle Whip
  • 1/2 cup milk

Directions

Cube potatoes and chop eggs. In a large bowl, combine the potatoes, eggs and celery. Set aside. In a smaller bowl, mix the Miracle Whip, sugar, milk and mustard. Stir until the dressing is desired thickeness. Pour the dressing over the ingredients in the large bowl; mix well. Salt and pepper to taste. Refrigerate before serving.

Mixed Vegetable Salad

Ingredients

  • 2 pkgs. frozen mixed vegetables
  • Salt
  • 1 cup celery (chopped)
  • 1 cup onion
  • 1 small green pepper (chopped)
  • celery seed
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup salad oil
  • 1/2 cup white vinegar

Directions

Blend together sugar, salad oil and white vinegar and add to vegetables. This salad is best if you let stand in refrigerator a couple days before serving. Serves 6 to 8.

Oven Chow Mein

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. browned ground beef
  • 2 cup diced celery
  • 1 cup uncooked rice
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 cup hot water
  • 1 can cr. mushroom soup

Directions

Mix all ingredients. Bake uncoverd 1 hour at 350 degrees.

French Breakfast Puffs

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon

Directions

Combine in bowl and set aside.

Ingredients
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp. Baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. Ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 tsp. Salt

Directions

Stir together in a medium size mixing bowl.

Ingredients
  • 1 lightly beaten egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup melted butter

Directions

Mix together and add to flour mixture all at once. Line muffin tins with baking cups and fill 2/3 full. Bake in a 350° oven 20-25 min. or until golden. While puffs are baking, melt 3 tbsp. Butter and pour in small bowl. When puffs are golden, remove immediately from muffin pan. Dip tops into melted butter and then into cinnamon-sugar mixture that you set aside. Serve warm.

Tutti Fruitti Cups

Ingredients

  • 1 (11 ounce) can of mandarin oranges..do not drain.
  • 1 (8 ounce) can of crushed pineapple..do not drain
  • 2 medium bananas sliced (firm ones work best)
  • 3/4 cup of sliced strawberries..fresh or frozen
  • 3/4 cup blueberries..fresh or frozen
  • 3/4 cup of lemon-lime soda
  • 6 tablespoons of lemonade concentrate thawed
  • 1/4 cup sugar

Directions

Combine all ingredients and fill an 8 ounce plastic cup 3/4 full. Cover and freeze for 4 hours or till solid. Remove from freezer 30 minutes before serving. Makes 10 servings.
