Different Sized Walls

Our living room has different sized and shaped walls. I would like to paint one wall a different color but am not sure if this will work. Is this only good for square shaped rooms?

I have a room that has an over hanging loft with those walls being standard height
I also have a wall that is 28 feet tall-A frame in the same room...
I have painted the walls differnt colors-very nice outcomes
stay in the same familyof colors
for example: I used sage green and the complementary color that was 2-3 shades lighter

I don't think the size of the individual walls would matter. My granddaughter painted one of her walls dark purple with the other three walls white - she used the wall opposite the outside windows for the dark color.

I think it can look great with an odd shaped room, just pick the one wall you'd like to stand out!
