My name is Sandi Allen, and I am 55. I have a beautiful daughter and grandson in Salem, OR. I have lived in 36 of the 50 states, and have driven the AlCan Hiway 5 times, 3 by myself. I love to cook, and have done it for a living along with property management, and all things criminal justice. I am a fiber artists, author, poet, photographer, inventor and lover of nature and animals.

I love this site because before it, I had no outlet to speak of to pour out my creative side, or connect with those that are like me.

Thanks for looking!!

A shoe that has been fixed with a key ring.

Fixing a Broken Shoe with a Key RingRecently, I realized that shoving my shoes off with my other foot was going to come back on me. It did. The little pot-metal clip that the Velcro strap went through broke. I can't afford shoe repair so I did it myself.

Converting a Twin Bed into a Day Bed

Converting a Twin Bed into a Day BedI recently moved into my own place after 28 months of home sharing. The apartment is tiny, so I gave up my bedroom for my "Croffice" or 'craft room/office'. I found I enjoy sleeping in the living room. I can stay up a bit and not disturb the lady below me.
