The Cornish game hen on a foil covered platter.

Air Fry Rotisserie Cornish HenThis is a great recipe if you're busy and want a delicious meal with the help of an air fryer. Have a rotisserie cornish hen ready in 35-40 minutes! This is my first time but you can actually fit 2 hens (but I tried 1 to see how it would turn out) and it's a hit!

The completed clam chowder.

Clam ChowderOur family's Christmas Eve tradition for over sixty years.

Decorative glass jars being used as vases.

Unusual VasesI like the items in my household to have functional uses. The items in these pictures also have a sentimental value. The jars are old canning jars from my grandma's old cellar. I use them for vases in my kitchen. The can is an old battery can from my grandpa's old plumbing truck. I am using it as a large vase in my family room.

A refurbished chest of drawers.

Salvaging a Basset Chest of DrawersOn a trip to the laundromat, I saw what appeared to be a chest of drawers. I pulled over and stopped so that I could get a closer look. Indeed it was a chest of drawers. Looked ugly enough. Some sort of mustard yellow puke color. All 5 drawers were there. The bottom of the chest looked as though it had been sitting in 5 inches of water. Long enough so that the lower decorative part of its foundation and bottom slat of wood had disintegrated. I opened the top drawer and it appeared brand new, albeit dusty, dirty and webby.

A bottle of peppermint oil next to a lip gloss.

Peppermint Oil to the RescueI found myself using my peppermint oil 4 times this holiday season.

Take Advantage of Post Holiday DiscountsBesides shopping for cards, ribbons and wrap after Christmas at steep discount, think about other things you might want to seek out for next year. Now is the time to look around (when your house is still in full Christmas mode). How is that artificial tree looking? A little bedraggled? Table linens? Ornaments? All of that stuff will be at a 50 to 90 percent discount, usually starting on 12/26.

Remove Pet Urine Odors in LaundryPlease help! I have a senior female dog that is incontinent. Because of this, I am now laundering a load of towels daily that line her dog crate and that have urine on them. Does anyone out there have a suggestion to add to the washing machine to get rid of the urine odor in the towels that would be less expensive?

Information About Old Trunk?

Information About Old Trunk?I am looking for some answers if possible: age, maker, what's it worth if anything, and should I sell it/restore it. I know a very little history of this trunk, but I know my mom has the twin of it, but she redid hers. Any help is useful of course and I will say thank you in advance now.
