Unsticking Two Stainless Steel PotsThis way is easier than the hot water and ice method. Fill the under pot with water by finding a way to put the water in through the rim. When you have a nice quantity, bring the pot to a boil. The steam will push out and up the pot at the top. That's what worked for me.

The completed Eight-Pointed Star Thread Button

Eight-Pointed Star Thread ButtonAll you need to make this button is a shampoo bottle cap or just a piece of hard plastic, string, and a piece of wire. I used wire from a damaged transformer. As you can see, it will cost you almost nothing, but you will get this very original button.

The crocheted foil lampshade.

Aluminum Foil LampshadeAluminum foil is a rather fragile material. I figured out how to make an original lampshade from aluminum foil. All you need is aluminum foil, crochet skills and patience.

The completed copper ring.

Wire Woven RingI used a copper wire from an old transformer and nails to create a weather tool. So it is not at all expensive and not difficult to make this original ring.

The completed stretch bracelet.

Beaded Stretch Bracelet with Fishing LineYou don't need an elastic band to make a bracelet stretch. I came up with a special way of stringing of beads on a fishing line, which made this bracelet not only stretchable, but also original looking.

Buckwheat waffle mix in a reusable jar.

Buckwheat Waffle MixBuckwheat waffles have become a routine Saturday morning breakfast for us. It is much easier to mix the dry ingredients ahead and just add the other ingredients later when I make the waffles. This quart jar holds enough for 4 batches of waffles. I have a note written on the jar. I can remember to add 1 cup of the mix to this.

A torn up side to a couch.

How to Fix Cat Scratches on CouchWe adopted a cat last year and she went to town on our new sofa, scratching it until it looked like a shag carpet. We tried deterrent sprays, laying blankets over the spot, and finally the sticky paper the eventually got her to stop.

A very small bug in a hand.

What is This Bug?I found this bug in my house last night. I had the windows open and one of the screens is a little wonky so it doesnt shut all the way. I found it under the window, not sure if that helps or not. Can anyone tell me what it is? It appears to have wings. And it's so small, I'm not even sure how I saw it in the first place. I put it in tape so I could look at it, so don't mind that bit. I'm in the Midwest US.

Fleas in Human Hair?I purchased a house in January and inherited a flea infestation with the house from dogs of previous tenants. I have no pets. The fleas have also been living on me in my hair for the last 2 months. I have had the house fumigated 3 times with a 4th next week. I have greatly reduced the fleas in my hair using everything from Hedrin, Scabbies cream, apple cider vinegar, mayonnaise, olive oil, essential oils, tea tree oil, bi carb of soda, salt by washing my hair in the bath twice a day for the last 10 weeks, washing bedding and clothes every single day and still they live. The medics don't believe me and think I am delusional. Can anyone who has experienced similar offer any further suggestions or advice on eradicating permanently from your hair? Many thanks in advance.

Troubleshooting a Singer Sewing Machine?Singer 185k rehab runs great. Now when I sew, I can't regulate stitch length and the fabric seems to pucker slightly. I had to reset presser foot and feed dogs, also had to clean thread tension unit. I really would like your thoughts on why it won't sew normally. Stitches seem normal. Appreciate any help fixing these problems
