In our yard, we have been experiencing more wild animals lately (i.e.: birds, rats, rabbits, etc.) especially since our yard is near a canyon. These animals are eating our fruit! It is quite frustrating watering these fruit trees, watching the fruit grow, and then finding them eaten/ruined.

Purple Wandering JewYou don't have to have a green thumb to grow Wandering Jew. I purchased this plant from Walmart in April. I have thinned it several times. I made a hanging basket and gave it to a friend, added a few sprigs around my Lantana plant and also pitched it over the deck railing behind a bush just to get rid of it. That little bit took root and it is spreading.

Some of them were starting to wilt at the tips. I used the dark green parts in some recipes, and soaked the roots in some water overnight. I then planted them.
