My ex-wife had a passion for watermelon and for one of her birthdays we planned a surprise party at a friend's apartment complex. We had a bunch of her friends there, a cake that looked like a watermelon and when we got ready to wind it up she found out we had watermelon on ice in the back of a van. We went out and had a watermelon seed spitting contest in the parking lot. She had a blast. (01/21/2010)

I'm a bit over 40, but if it were me, I'd really go for a "spa day". If you can't afford a fancy-schmancy spa or don't have one nearby, you could try your local beauty college. Even a manicure-pedicure is pretty special. (01/26/2010)

It is pretty cool to come up with something personalized. Last year I bought my friend a real star called her name from kingdom of universe. She was delighted! :) She didn't expect it at all. This year I also need to find something unique.
