Age at Which a Wisteria Blooms?

I have a wisteria plant that is at least three years old or so and was told that it could take up to 10 years before it would bloom. Is this true? Right now it is growing on a chain link gate.

Wisterias bloom between 7-15 years old.

How long for a Wisteria to bloom.

Step 1
Some will bloom in 3 to 5 years.

Step 2
Some up to 15 years.

Step 3
If planted from seed 20 years.

Step 4
Some will not bloom at all.
