Anyone Know Where This Toy is From?

A old and worn stuffed dog named "Fudge".My son is extremely attached to this plush teddy. However it's well past its best and we are trying to identify where it was from, who made it and can we get an identical replacement. Any help is appreciated.

I have not found this particular dog but I did find several with this same "Fudge" tag and their hang tags say they were made by Littlewoods in Liverpool.
This pup is vintage and probably be very lucky to find one listed for sale and even then the seller may not know the company name.
The problem I've found is there is no clear picture of this company making toys and although there is a company named 'Littlewoods" they seem to be handlers/sellers of many brands of toys.

Perhaps someone else can find out more about this.

There are a lot of stuffed dogs called/named 'Fudge' but none of them have this name tag 'Fudge' but the Littlewoods dog.

I would suggest you take your son to a nice toy store that has a lot stuffed animals and see if you can get him interested in a 'playmate' for his doggie so that when the times comes (a year at least?) he will also have a well loved companion to comfort him. I know this method will sometimes work but nothing is a sure thing.
Some people try this same method online but I would think seeing/holding would be better.

There is a company that says they will make a replica of your stuffed toy but they are expensive (well - about $135) and the 2 that I've seen did not look anything like the original, but then, I'm sure they must have many well satisfied customers.

While not exact, Bashful Fudge Jellycat is close:

Maybe it could be his Fudge's favorite first cousin who has come to give this fudge a break!

I do not think they make this dog any longer. The best way to get a replacement for your son and still keep the collar and the name is to visit this website called Budsies. They can make an exact duplicate of this dog for you and your son. They are fantastic and I know a few people who have used this in the past and they were so happy with the results.

Give this a shot if you can't find a used one online to buy. I would rather have a new one myself and it doesn't cost that much to have one made for you. www.budsies.com/.../
