A baked apple and brie hand pie.Make this sweet and savory dessert in under 25 minutes (if you have a ready to bake pie crust ready to use).

Also - option to drizzle with honey on top after baking to eat or add honey before baking, or no honey.

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 15 minutes

Total Time: 25 minutes

Yield: 4 handpies

Ingredients:

  • 1 9 inch Ready to Bake Pie Crust
  • 4 Slices of Brie
  • 1/2 Apple
  • 1 tsp Butter
  • Dash of Ground cinnamon
  • Optional Honey
Ingredients for apple and brie hand pies.
 

Steps:

  1. I was able to make (8) 4 inch circles with my 9 inch pie crust.
    2. A refrigerator pie crust rolled thin.
     
    Circles of pie crust for hand pies.
     
  2. Slice apples and place a couple pieces in the center.
    3. A collection of sliced apples.
     
    Round pie crusts topped with apple, before baking.
     
  3. Slice of brie on top of each.
    4. Round pie crusts topped with apple and brie, before baking.

  4. Add a dash of cinnamon.
    5. Round pie crusts topped with apple and brie, before baking.
     
    Apple and brie on top of a circle of pie dough.
     
  5. Cover pie with remaining circles. Use your hand or fork to seal the dough together.
    6. Pie crusts for hand pies.
     
  6. Score an X on top.
    7. Apple and brie hand pies before baking.
     
  7. Add a little butter on top or brush egg wash.
    8. Apple and brie hand pies before baking.
     
  8. Bake at 400 degrees F for 13-15 minutes or until golden brown. (I was a little late at taking mine out but they were still tasty!)

Those pies are so cute and I love the addition of brie. I'll have to make them when I harvest apples from my tree this fall.

Yay that is so fun! We planted an apple tree from seed so it'll be another few years. The brie is a nice touch!
