This is great as a side dish alone, but also with a little chicken or beef mixed in as well.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cups raw white rice

  • 1 can onion soup
  • 1 can beef consomme

Directions:

Melt butter in a casserole dish. Stir in rice and soups. Cover tightly and bake 1 hour at 350 degrees F. Add more water, if it dries too much.

Prep Time: 15-20 Minutes
Cooking Time: 60 Minutes

I love rice any way it can be fixed. One of my favorite is to take 1 1/2 cup rice, in bottom of a baking dish. Cover rice with 1 can cream of mushroom or cream of chicken soup ( mix soup with 3/4 cup of water) Minced onion, lemon pepper salt and one bullion cube.

top with lean pork or chicken. If you don't want to use meat, just make in pan on top of stove. Cook1 can of rice with one can of water then add soup, bullion , lemon pepper. Yummy
