Baking An Egg?

When I bake an egg for breakfast in the oven in a buttered ceramic dish it scorches the bottom. What am I doing wrong?

As any home ec. student can tell you, eggs must be cooked on low heat. To bake eggs, first spray your pan (I love Corning Ware), with Pam spray. Bake eggs at only 325 degrees F. You can also cover the pan with foil. Good luck, Liz

Way too much heat! Turn down the heat to a quarter of what you used and give it much more time. That dish looks like it was made for Microwave, not for a wood stove oven.

Unless you do like dry and crusty fringes, use lower heat and more time.
