Baking Soda as a Natural Deodorant

Gold Post Medal for All Time! 555 Posts

Brush and baking soda for deodorantI keep a small jar of baking soda along with a blush brush to lightly brush under my arms after a shower. Keeps me fresh smelling AND dry. You could also use this on the feet after your shower, before dressing.

I also keep a jar on top of my cat's litter box to sprinkle in their box to
re-freshen it daily between cleanings. It doesn't add sickeningly fake scents to the air but does freshen it!

Great idea. I added it to natural Scottish lavender talcum powder and I smell nice too. I really love this tip.

I used to do this, but found that the powder irritated my skin (I don't usually have sensitive skin), and it turned red for a week or so, even after discontinuing it. Do you have a remedy idea for that?

I have also used baking soda as a dry shampoo. works great! We all know about using BS for toothpaste with or without peroxide. It also is good to mix a little with water for a mouthwash.

I use it to brush my teeth. I don't want to use Mint flavored toothpaste anymore. I have searched for unflavored tooth paste and all I could find was on amazon, but the shipping cost prevented me from buying it.

Does anyone know of a brand that doesn't have flavor?

I use baking soda as a face wash....just get it damp and rub a little on you face, then rinse. Your face feels really clean.

I use baking soda as a face wash. Simply dampen the baking soda slightly, rub a little on your face and rinse. Your face feels so clean!
