Wash off the pumpkin and remove the stem. place on a cookie sheet. Sit in 300 oven and cook until knife goes in very easily when pierced. Remove and cool enough to handle it. I use gloves and a very large knife and cut it in half from top down. It falls into 2 parts.

Now get a large spoon and scoop the shells and materials into a bowl until clean. Now use the same spoon to scoop the pumpkin meat out into a bowl and cool. We mash it and bag it in 2-3 cups amounts or whatever you like according to any recipe you use frequently. Cool it flatten the bag, label and store stacked in freezer. Ontario
