Bleaching a Pink Cardigan?

I have a pink cardigan and I am thinking of bleaching it, but I am not sure what color it would turn out.

I dont think bleaching is a good idea. I think it will come out faded looking. Dyeing it a darker color is a better idea.

Bleaching will give you a boho type pattern--uneven with dark and light spots. If you are going for that look (I love that look) you can better control your results by a bleach tie dye effect with rubber bands and letting the sections sit in bleach longer or shorter times.

There are some neat YouTube videos about bleach tie dye!! I have done it with blacks and navy's and it has a fun vibe to it!

Not sure, but your cardigan may be either a mix of materials or it may be polyester and if this is the case it may not do well with bleach in any fashion.

Check the fabric/material and look on line for what type of dye to use.
If you were thinking it would bleach white then you can almost certainly forget that as it is difficult to remove all the dye from any type of material (even cotton) as the material may look "whitish" but the seams will probably retain the dye.

You might check out your local craft stores - like Michael's and Jo Ann's - as they have all sorts of dyes and instructions that are easy to follow.
Or, you can check Walmart/Target for dyes and try to find a color that you like that will work with the type of material you have.

Check the fiber content of the sweater. Natural fibers (cotton) Can be bleached with good results, but Synthetic fibers (acrylic) dont.
