I have a female half canary, half Goldfinch. Can I put her with a male Goldfinch to breed? Will they get along? If so, can I put them in an aviary with another pair which is a Goldfinch male and a canary female with two nests?
What time of the year do I breed them. Do I need to seperate them during breeding at all.
If the canary is sitting on eggs does that mean the European Gold Finch has mounted her already or does he still need to fertilize them? Do I need to seperate them at any stage?

It will be more difficult, especially if the goldfinch has bred with another goldfinch before, or is too old. You can get some excellent information here. mbirdtraining.com/
You can try, but be sure and watch to make sure they get along. Usually nature will take over if it is possible.
