Budget Friendly Coffee Shop Flavors

I am a lover of flavored coffee. Like many of you, it begins my day with a hug from within. I am here to share a tip with you. I am beyond cheap. I like to use the word frugal. I won't spend money in a coffee shop. I won't say never but, you get it. I have not purchased one in over 20 years.

I brew my favorite Dollar Tree coffee. Then I pour my flavoring in recycled bottles. I left a label on for you to see the bottles. Please don't trash those they are priceless. I then pour in my stevia if needed.

I place them in the fridge since my desired coffee is cold.

The coffee is $1 a bag. The bottles are recycled. If you're using homemade items you're going to spend a ton less than you were before.

All this is possible in less than 30 minutes. Brew and you're halfway there.

Hmm, not sure about the Dollar Tree coffee since most of everything in Dollar Tree stores come from China or other countries where there are a lot of chemicals in them too. Your "flavorings" look like commercial creamers which are laden with very bad chemicals and preservatives as well. I buy large cans of coffee grounds and cold brew my coffee which is not a bitter as hot brewed coffee. I make my own creamers with Torani syrups (which yes even sugar free has chemicals) and heavy cream. You don't use a lot of the syrup (2-3 tbsp.) to one quart of cream so the chemicals a minimal.

A bottle of syrup will last a LONG time so cost is pennies per use. Given the amount in the bag of coffee from the Dollar Store which is only 6 ounces, it is far cheaper to buy a large can of coffee at the grocery store (Walmart Maxwell House Brand 30.6 oz canister is $6.93). So by spending $1 per 6 ounces you will pay $36.00 for coffee which could cost $6.93 at Walmart! Dollar Store items are not always cost effective if you break down what it really costs compared to mainstream stores on grocery items. Rarely are grocery items a good buy at Dollar Stores if you factor in the price and volume.

You might want to recheck you math since 6 oz goes into 30 only 5 times, so to purchase 30 oz of Dollar Store coffee you would buy 5 bags at $1.00 each, not $36.00. Maxwell House coffee imports their beans from brazil, columbia, guatamala, indonesia, ivory coast, mexico, peru, thialand, muganda, and vietnam.

I'm quite sure that Greenbrier International does the same as very little coffee is actually grown in China.

I have used a few drops of almond extract in my coffee for years to make a flavored coffee. The coffee varies by what is on sale Hills Brothers, Maxwell House, store brand or close out as does where I purchase the flavoring.

Brew, pour add flavoring and milk, whole or 2%. If you prefer make it vanilla or another flavor.
