Candy Candy Bowl This is a fun way to take Halloween into the holidays. This makes good use of certain candies you probably won't be eating too much of. Little peppermint swirl candies might not be the first thing you grab from a bowl of sweeties, but they are so cute, they deserve to be part of something bigger. Here's how to turn them into a candy bowl.

Total Time: 20 minutes

Yield: 1 candy bowl

Supplies:

wax paper
1 baking sheet
1 small bowl
oil
18 peppermint candies

Steps:

Preheat the oven to 275°F (I used my toaster oven). Line your baking sheet with wax paper. Add one candy to the middle. Put in the oven for about 2 minutes. You want it to start to glisten but not melt.

Remove, then put six more candies around the heated one, making sure they touch. Put back in the oven and heat for about 4 minutes. Remove when they start to soften but not melt.

Put 11 more candies around, making sure they all touch, and return to the oven for 5 or 6 more minutes.

Remove and let cool for about a minute. Meanwhile, grease your bowl. Tear or trim off some of the parchment paper around the candy circle, and using an oven mitt, flip the candy onto your greased bowl. Shape the candy around the bowl, using the oven mitt to press the candies into one another. Here's how it looks from the outside of the bowl, and from the inside.
