Car Heater Blowing Cold Air?

My heater blows hot air for 3 seconds then cold air, why? The blower works good and the AC works perfectly, but not my heater.

Check the hose connections in the engine to the heater, from the back of the dashboard, they may be loose.

Check the thermostat and does it have enough antifreeze/coolant?

You may to replace the thermostat. Many automotive stores will scan for free. Auto zone will do this as well as advance auto.

You could have a clogged heater core.
