I have a 1 year cat, Kendell. On the back of her neck right between the shoulders she's got a patch of fur gone. Now it's all red from it bothering her. I only noticed it right around the first time she went into heat for first time. I have no income so I can't go to a vet:( Is there something at home I can do? Please anyone help! Thank you.

This is a common problem with spot on flea treatments. If you have had her awhile and have not used flea treatments, it is most likely something else. Only a Vet can really tell you when he examines your cat. But you have a bigger problem than a cat with a suspicious spot. You really can't own a pet without the ability to pay for their medical care. It is heartbreaking to love a pet and not be able to help them when they are sick. And it is certainly not fair to the pet.
Have you tried spraying with hydrogen peroxide, it is a natural anti-bacterial and disinfectant for wounds and mite controle. Might be worth a try and certainly won't do any harm. Use diluted with water
Poor ppl shouldn't own animals? I don't agree its not like shelters take pets all the time so death in the streets or pound or a loving low income home... hmmmm. Asking a person to get another job wow
From your description, your cat may have an infection, mange, allergy etc. Please find a way to take her to your vet immediately as she needs prescription medication to clear the problem. There is nothing you can do for her at home and further delay will make the problem worse.
It appears your cat has not been spayed. If she has babies, they can also catch their mom's infection, etc. Please have her spayed now so that you don't have to deal with babies.
