Changing a Black T-shirt to Another Color?

I have a black, cotton T-shirt with a red and blue logo printed on it. I would love to change the black to literally any other color. Is this possible, and if so, how?

In my experience the only way to make any changes to the ENTIRE BACKGROUND --meaning change the black to any other color) will ruin the logo.

You could create bleach tie dye effects on the the black only shirt (avoiding all the logo areas) which, gives it that Grateful Dead look. Depending on how long you soak, the shirt dye content etc. the bleached spots could be white, or pink or ivory or gray or brown. It is a guess how it will turnout every time...which makes it fun if you want to go this route!

I know there are lots of examples of this out there--here is a sample of what I mean:

You take bleach, use rubber bands on the shirt where you want to change the color, let it soak until it is bleached out the way you want, then I wash soak the shirt in cold water with a cup of vinegar (a full standard bucket of cold water) to set it.

Logos are the challenge because even though it is a cotton shirt, the logo is not cotton. You will want to avoid getting the bleach on the logo!

It is not possible to change black to a lighter color and leave the print unaffected.

I do not believe this is possible as any change would also affect the logo. But if you remove the black/color by using one of the color remover products and just do the whole T-shirt then you might redye the whole shirt with another color and the background may look okay but it would be a guess as to what color the logos would be.

I would suggest you find another T-shirt in the color you like as most likely this would be a total disaster.
