Cleaner Removed Leather Dye on Couch?

I have no idea what took the color out of my leather couch on the head area. I wiped down the entire couch with the cleaner provided by manufacturer and it took the color off the head area only.

It is obviously not the cleaner, but whatever hair products that you have been using. I don't think there is anything that can be done about this. You'll just have to put an afghan over it. In the olden days doilies were hung over the back of sofas to keep hair cream off of the upholstery.

When my sofa started to loose colour at the head, I washed it in soapy water. Must of rubbed too hard, as the head area ended up completely removed. Had to call in a professional to put a complete new piece of leather on the back of sofa.

He informed me that the area lost its colour due to grease coming of husbands head, made worse by having little hair!
