I've burnt a potato in the microwave oven, and the inside walls has become yellow. How can I remove this? It looks like it's got oil spilled all over it, but it is clean, only yellowish now, looks old and my wife has gone mad!

Try setting a cup or small bowl of white vinegar, set for a few minutes, but watch so it does not all evaporate, and then wipe clean... this works with other stains... and caked on food... it may work for this as well... it's a cheap try so nothing much lost if it won't work...
