Company Pork Chops

Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients:

• 4 thick cut pork chops ($4.00)
• salt and pepper to taste
• 2 Tbsp margarine
• 1/3 cup flour
• 2/3 cup milk
• 1 egg, beaten
• 1 small onion, grated ($.40)
• 1 tsp each salt and pepper
• 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Steps:

1. Brown chops on one side in heavy fry pan that can go into oven. Or brown and place in oven safe casserole. Salt and pepper, to taste.

2. Melt margarine in saucepan; blend in flour, then slowly stir in milk. Cook stirring constantly, until mixture makes a very thick paste.
3. Add egg, beat well, and cook until mixture is shiny.
4. Stir in onion, cheese, salt and pepper; mix well.
   
   
5. Place spoonful of batter on top of each chop.
   
   
6. Place in oven and bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes.
