Crunchy Chicken Feet

Ingredients:

• 250 g chicken feet
• 1/2 cup corn starch
• salt and pepper
• 400 ml water

Steps:

1. Clean and wash chicken thoroughly then slice around the chicken feet - in the center, and the portions where bones are located.

 
2. Pour 400 ml water, with salt and pepper in a pot with the feet.

 
3. Simmer for 8-10 minutes.

 
4. Drain and allow to cool. When it's cool enough, remove as much bone as you can. This is why you have to make slices while it's raw so it's easy to debone.

5. Pour cornstarch into deboned chicken feet.

 
6. Coat very well.

 
7. Fry until crisp or golden brown.

 

 
8. Serve with spicy vinegar.

When I was a youngun, my grandmother stewed chicken feet. She and I had a good time together eating chicken feet.

I thought they were so good. Haven't had any since I was a child but I have thought about them often.
