Cup of Love Heart Coasters - red crochet coasters You can create this crocheted coaster with only 4 rounds. Who wouldn't enjoy receiving a few of these tied with a ribbon? Every time they use it they will think, "I am protecting my table surface and feeling loved all at the same time!"

I liked how these turned out so well that I will be making a big stack of hearts for my house right away. While coasters are typically created with cotton yarn, I loved the color of this acrylic one. Truthfully, they work just as well as cotton. And acrylic is even cheaper! :) Enjoy!

Total Time: About 15-20 minutes each

Supplies:

"h" crochet hook
tiny amounts #4 worsted yarn, (Red Heart; "rouge".)
scissors
embroidery needle for weaving in ends

Steps:

Ch 5, join with a slip stitch to your first ch to create a ring.

Ch 3, 13 dc in ring, join with a slip stitch in the top of your ch 3.

Ch 3, 1 dc in same space as ch, 2 dc in each stitch around. Join with a slip stitch to the top of your ch 3.

Ch 3, 1 dc in same space, 1 dc in next stitch, 2 dc in next stitch, 1 dc in next stitch, 2 dc in next, 1 dc in next, 2 dc in next.

Work a half double crochet in the next stitch, slip stitch in the next 4 stitches.

Sc, hdc, dc, dc.

Slip stitch in the same space as your last dc and in the next 4 stitches.

2 dc in the next stitch, 1 dc in the next stitch.
*2 dc in the next stitch, 1 dc in the next stitch*, Repeat steps between the ** 2 more times.

Slip stitch in the same space as your last dc.
Slip stitch in the center joining stitch.

Slip stitch in the chain 3 space.

Ch 2.

1 dc in the same space as your ch 2, 1 dc in next stitch, *2 dc in the next stitch, 1 dc in the next stitch*, Repeat steps between the ** 2 more times.
